About us
Born in 1993, 13,000 kilometres apart, the two founding members of Hands some Feet are Liisa Nuuk from Tampere (Finland), and Jeromy Nuuk from Perth (Australia). They met each other in Brussels, Belgium during their 3 year training at the prestigious circus school “École Supérieure des Arts du Cirque” (ESAC)”.
They now tour and produce their contemporary circus performances throughout the world. They aim to make circus accessible to anyone and everyone, while still being able to connect to people in a deeper and more relatable way through their circus narratives, using also physical theatre, movement research and music to compliment their circus expertise.
Jeromy Nuuk artistic director/founder
Jeromy Nuuk is a Swiss-Australian circus artist who began circus at the age of 11, it quickly became a raging passion in his life and this led to him auditioning for the prestigious circus school in Brussels (ESAC) in 2014. During three years of intensive study, he specialised in juggling, movement and physical theater. Jeromy has delighted people around the world with his juggling in places such as Canada, France, Italy and England. In addition to Hands some Feet he has also been part of contemporary Belgian circus groups 15ft6 and Les Argonautes.
Liisa Nuuk artistic director/founder
Liisa Nuuk is a Finnish circus artist from Tampere. At the age of 19, she moved to Brussels, Belgium to complete a three-year intensive bachelor’s degree in circus arts at ESAC. Since graduating in 2016, she has performed in various circus groups such as Cirque Eloize, Cirque Rouages, Cirque Galapiat and Cie des Chaussons Rouges, as well as in various productions and events such as Paris Fashion Week and Dance Theatre Hurjaruuth Winter Circus. In addition to Hands some Feet, Liisa is a founding member of the Finnish contemporary circus collective Sirkum Polaris.
